The biggest highlight is the Trion C1x, which offers a claimed 165 km IDC range from its 3 kWh battery. The company has also equipped the scooter with connected features, predictive diagnostics and up to 52 litres of combined storage.

E3 Trion 165km Range

The C1x is the range-focused variant of the E3 Trion lineup. It gets a 3 kWh fixed LFP battery and has a claimed IDC range of 165 km.

The entry-level C1 gets a smaller 2.3 kWh removable battery and claims 108 km of range. The performance-oriented C2 also uses a 3 kWh battery but has a claimed range of 128 km because it uses a more powerful motor and offers a higher top speed.

It is important to note that the 165 km figure is an IDC-certified claimed range. Actual range can vary depending on speed, traffic, riding mode, rider weight and weather conditions.

The Trion C1 comes with a 2.3 kWh removable LFP battery, making it more convenient for customers who may not have access to a dedicated charging point.

The C1x and C2 use larger 3 kWh fixed LFP batteries.

Charging times from 0–80% are approximately:

  • C1: 2 hours 30 minutes
  • C1x: 3 hours 30 minutes
  • C2: 3 hours 30 minutes

The company also claims that a short 10-minute charge can add around 10 km of range under suitable charging conditions.

The C1 and C1x use a 2.5 kW PMSM hub motor, with a claimed top speed of 67 km/h.

The C2 gets a more powerful 3.5 kW motor and can reach a claimed top speed of 82 km/h. It can accelerate from 0–40 km/h in around six seconds when using Sport mode.

The C1 and C1x get Eco and Power riding modes, while the C2 adds Sport mode for stronger performance.

E3 Electric.AI is offering an 8-year or 1,00,000 km battery warranty, which could be an important advantage for buyers concerned about long-term EV battery ownership.

E3 Trion: Which Variant Should You Buy?

The C1 makes the most sense for buyers looking for an affordable electric scooter and the convenience of a removable battery.

The C1x is arguably the most interesting variant because it offers the lineup’s highest claimed 165 km range while remaining below ₹1.10 lakh ex-showroom.

The C2 is the better choice for riders who prioritise performance. It offers an 82 km/h claimed top speed and Sport mode, although its claimed range falls to 128 km.
