Ather Energy has officially launched the Konarc electric scooter in India on August 29, 2026. The new family-focused electric scooter is the first production model based on Ather’s new EL platform and is positioned as a more affordable alternative to the brand’s existing scooters.
The Ather Konarc price starts at ₹99,999 (ex-showroom), while the highest-range version is planned to offer up to 200 km of claimed IDC range.
Ather Konarc Price in India
Ather has introduced the Konarc in multiple variants with different battery packs and range figures.
| Variant | Battery | Claimed IDC Range | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Konarc S 100 | 2.1 kWh | 100 km | ₹99,999 |
| Konarc S 125 | 2.7 kWh | 125 km | ₹1,21,999 |
| Konarc S 161 | 3.5 kWh | 161 km | ₹1,44,999 |
| Konarc S 200 | — | 200 km | Coming Soon |
| Konarc Z 125 | — | 125 km | Coming Soon |
| Konarc Z 161 | — | 161 km | Coming Soon |
The Konarc gets different battery options depending on the variant. The S 100 uses a 2.1 kWh battery, while the S 125 and S 161 use 2.7 kWh and 3.5 kWh batteries, respectively.
The claimed IDC range stands at 100 km, 125 km and 161 km for the currently priced S variants. A 200 km version is also planned.
However, real-world range will be lower than the IDC figure depending on riding conditions, speed, traffic, rider weight and weather.
The Ather Konarc uses a PMSM electric motor. The S 100 produces 4 kW and 16 Nm, while the S 125 and S 161 versions produce up to 4.7 kW and 16 Nm.
The S variants have a claimed top speed of 70 kmph, making the Konarc primarily a city-focused electric scooter rather than a high-performance model.
One of the biggest changes is the Konarc’s metal body panels, making it different from Ather’s existing scooter lineup.
The scooter has a conventional family-scooter design with a wide seat, spacious floorboard and a handlebar-mounted LED headlamp. It also gets a 14-inch front wheel and 12-inch rear wheel.
Ather says the Konarc has a 1,352 mm wheelbase, making it the longest-wheelbase scooter in its lineup. The longer wheelbase and suspension setup are aimed at improving stability and ride comfort.
The Konarc gets a 450W onboard charger as standard. A 900W external charger can also be combined with it to provide a total charging capacity of up to 1.35 kW.
With the standard charger, the S 100 takes around 4 hours to charge from 0-80%, while the S 125 takes around 4 hours 30 minutes and the S 161 around 5 hours 40 minutes.
With the combined charging setup, these times can drop significantly.
Ather Konarc Service Interval and Warranty
Ather has focused heavily on reducing ownership and maintenance requirements with the new EL platform.
The Konarc’s scheduled service interval has been extended to 10,000 km or one year, whichever comes first.
The new scooter also gets a long battery warranty package, with reports indicating coverage of up to 10 years/1,00,000 km for the latest-generation battery technology.
The Ather Konarc is one of the most important new electric scooter launches of August 2026. Its ₹99,999 starting price makes Ather’s technology more accessible, while the multiple battery options allow buyers to choose between affordability and higher range.
The combination of a practical family design, metal body, up to 161 km IDC range in the currently announced variants, 31-litre storage and a 10,000 km service interval makes the Konarc a strong new contender in India’s electric scooter market.
The upcoming 200 km version and Konarc Z variants could make the lineup even more competitive once their prices are announced.
