Avore Electric Enters India’s Electric Motorcycle Segment
Indian EV startup Avore Electric, a brand of Samarth E-Mobility, has officially launched its first electric motorcycle lineup—the Avore EX Series. The launch marks the company’s entry into India’s fast-growing electric motorcycle market, where it aims to offer a blend of everyday practicality, modern technology and performance.
The motorcycles are built on an indigenous platform and are available in three variants:
- EX1
- EX2
- EX2S
The company says the bikes are designed to appeal to commuters looking for lower running costs without sacrificing the riding feel of a conventional motorcycle.
Avore EX Price in India
| Variant | Introductory Ex-showroom Price |
|---|---|
| EX1 | ₹1.25 lakh |
| EX2 | ₹1.46 lakh |
| EX2S | ₹1.70 lakh |
The introductory pricing applies to the first batch of customers
Battery, Range & Performance
The EX lineup offers different battery capacities and performance depending on the variant.
| Variant | Battery | IDC Range | Top Speed |
|---|---|---|---|
| EX1 | 3.24 kWh | 160 km | 100 km/h |
| EX2 | 4.3 kWh | 210 km | 105 km/h |
| EX2S | 5.0 kWh | 260 km | 114 km/h |
The top-spec EX2S is targeted at riders who need longer range for daily commuting as well as occasional highway travel.
Electric Motor
The motorcycles feature a mid-mounted electric motor with outputs varying by variant.
Highlights include:
- Peak power up to 10.5 kW
- Instant torque delivery
- 0–40 km/h acceleration in about 3.2 seconds (EX1)
- Chain-drive setup for a traditional motorcycle riding experience
The company says the powertrain has been tuned to deliver smooth acceleration while maintaining efficiency
Design Highlights
The Avore EX has been designed as a sporty commuter motorcycle.
Exterior highlights include:
- LED headlamp
- LED tail lamp
- Digital instrument cluster
- Alloy wheels
- Sporty bodywork
- Comfortable upright riding position
- Disc brakes
- Tubeless tyres
The design aims to appeal to young riders looking for a modern electric alternative to conventional 125cc–200cc motorcycles.
The launch of the Avore EX signals growing competition in India’s electric motorcycle market. While electric scooters currently dominate EV sales, motorcycles remain the country’s largest two-wheeler category. By introducing multiple battery options, connected features and a claimed range of up to 260 km, Avore is targeting riders who want an electric motorcycle capable of handling both city commuting and longer journeys.
If the company can deliver on its performance, after-sales support and charging experience, the EX series could become a strong new entrant in India’s expanding electric two-wheeler market.
