Mercedes-Benz has officially introduced the all-electric GLC at the Munich Motor Show, expanding its luxury EV portfolio. Branded as the GLC with EQ Technology, this marks an important launch for the automaker since the GLC is one of its best-selling SUVs worldwide.
Variants and Performance
The new GLC EV is built on the MB.EA-M platform, designed to support next-gen electrification. Customers will get two variants to choose from:
GLC 300+ RWD – single motor setup producing 374 hp
GLC 400 4Matic AWD – dual motor configuration generating 489 hp
Both models come with a 94 kWh battery pack and are capable of DC fast charging up to 330 kW.
Charging and Range
Thanks to its 800V-compatible architecture, the SUV can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 24 minutes. In fact, with only 10 minutes of charging, the GLC EV can deliver up to 303 km of range.
On a full charge, the GLC 400 4Matic offers an impressive WLTP-certified range of 713 km, placing it in direct competition with the BMW iX3 and other premium electric SUVs.
