India’s electric vehicle market is expanding rapidly, and Kia India appears ready to strengthen its lineup. According to recently leaked documents, the Kia Carens Clavis EV could soon receive GTX and X-Line trims, along with new six-seat configuration options aimed at buyers looking for a more premium and sporty electric MPV.
Sportier GTX and X-Line Variants Expected
The upcoming GTX and X-Line variants are likely to focus on sportier visual elements and distinctive styling. Although official specifications are yet to be confirmed, early information suggests the GTX trim may feature:
A dark-themed exterior paint scheme
Highlighted design elements on the body
Updated side door garnishes
Sporty brake caliper colour accents
Unique exterior detailing to differentiate it from existing variants
These styling updates could position the GTX and X-Line trims as the more performance-inspired versions of the electric MPV.
New Interior Theme and Premium Cabin Updates
Inside the cabin, the GTX and X-Line trims are expected to introduce a refreshed interior theme. Possible upgrades include:
New colour combinations for the dashboard and upholstery
Contrast stitching on seats and panels
A darker, more premium cabin ambience
Reports also suggest that rear ventilated seats could be offered on the GTX+ and X-Line trims, further improving comfort for second-row passengers.
To make the EV more practical for Indian buyers, both 6-seat and 7-seat configurations are expected to be available with the GTX, GTX+, and X-Line variants. This flexibility could make the electric MPV appealing to larger families as well as premium buyers seeking extra comfort.
