BYD India Hits 10,000 Deliveries, Accelerating Clean Mobility

New Delhi, India: BYD India, a subsidiary of the world’s No. 1 New Energy Vehicle (NEV) manufacturer BYD, has reached a big milestone — the delivery of its 10,000th electric vehicle in India. This shows how Indian customers are increasingly choosing clean and sustainable mobility, while also highlighting BYD’s strong EV technology and vision for a greener future.

BYD India isn’t just selling cars, it is building a complete ecosystem for customers. With 44 dealerships across major cities, strong after-sales service, nationwide roadside assistance, and extended warranty programs, the company is making EV ownership smooth and reliable. To make charging easier, BYD has also partnered with Relux Electric to provide hassle-free charging solutions.

Globally, BYD has sold over 13 million NEVs, cutting down more than 106.52 billion kg of carbon emissions (equal to the CO₂ absorbed by 1.77 billion trees). It has also been ranked among the Top 10 Most Valuable Global Automotive Brands for three years in a row, with a brand value of USD 14.4 billion.

Adding to its innovations, BYD recently opened the world’s first all-terrain test track in Zhengzhou, China. The track includes asphalt, wet skating areas, mountain slopes, sandy surfaces, and even snow and ice driving experiences.

Speaking on the milestone, Mr. Rajeev Chauhan, Head of Electric Passenger Vehicles Business at BYD India, said:
“Reaching 10,000 customers in India is a proud achievement. It shows the growing trust in our brand and vision for greener mobility. Each vehicle helps reduce emissions, brings advanced EV technology to India, and strengthens the EV ecosystem. We are committed to offering innovation, quality service, and products that meet Indian consumers’ aspirations.”

BYD’s EV lineup in India includes the BYD SEALION 7, BYD ATTO 3 eSUV, BYD eMAX 7 eMPV, and BYD SEAL, offering customers a mix of performance, technology, and environmental responsibility.

Founded in 2007, BYD India has two factories covering over 140,000 sq. m with investments of more than $200 million. In 2024, BYD sold over 4.27 million NEVs worldwide, a 41% year-on-year growth.

With this milestone, BYD India has made it clear: it’s not just delivering cars, it’s building trust, infrastructure, and an EV ecosystem to help India move faster toward sustainable mobility.
