Dhoot Transmission IPO

Dhoot Transmission Bets Big on India’s EV Growth Ahead of IPO: What It Means for India’s Electric Vehicle Industry

Dhoot Transmission Sees EVs as Its Biggest Growth Opportunity

India’s electric vehicle (EV) revolution is creating new opportunities not only for vehicle manufacturers but also for companies that supply the critical components powering these vehicles. One such company is Dhoot Transmission, a leading automotive component manufacturer backed by Bain Capital.

Ahead of its upcoming ₹3,067 crore Initial Public Offering (IPO), Dhoot Transmission has announced an aggressive expansion of its electric vehicle business. The company believes that India’s shift towards electric mobility will be its biggest growth driver over the coming years.

From Wiring Harnesses to Complete EV Solutions

Dhoot Transmission has traditionally been known for manufacturing wiring harnesses, one of the most important electrical systems in automobiles. The company supplies components to several major automotive manufacturers, with Bajaj Auto contributing nearly one-third of its FY2026 revenue.

However, as the automotive industry rapidly transitions toward electric vehicles, Dhoot is expanding well beyond conventional wiring products.

Its growing EV portfolio now includes:

  • Battery Assemblies
  • Onboard Chargers (OBC)
  • DC-DC Converters
  • EV Charging Guns
  • Advanced Electrical Systems for Electric Vehicles

These products are becoming essential as electric two-wheelers, three-wheelers and passenger vehicles continue to gain popularity across India.

IPO Will Help Accelerate Expansion

Dhoot Transmission’s IPO is scheduled to open from August 10 to August 12, 2026, with a total issue size of approximately ₹3,067 crore.

The listing is expected to provide additional capital for:

  • Business expansion
  • Manufacturing capacity
  • Technology development
  • Strengthening customer partnerships

The company is backed by global investment firm Bain Capital, which will continue to retain a significant stake after the listing.
